How One “Yes” Can Change Everything

Senior year is busy. Between classes, college applications, and trying to soak up all the “lasts” of high school, it can feel like there’s no room for big life decisions. But here’s the thing: sometimes God’s biggest invitations come in the middle of our busiest seasons.

In this week’s podcast, Will Hardin shared how saying yes to God in high school shaped everything about his future. From feeling called to ministry on a worship trip to stepping into a gap year filled with mission work in Africa, Will learned firsthand that small, faithful yeses can open doors he never expected.

For you, your “yes” might not look like traveling to Uganda or leading a youth group Bible study. It might be as simple as saying yes to showing up to church when you’re exhausted, yes to praying for a friend who’s struggling, or yes to applying for a college where you sense God leading.

Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make straight your paths.”

As you move deeper into your senior year, consider: where is God asking for your yes? It could be the very thing that changes how you walk into college next year.
