By this point in the semester, you’ve probably started to feel the tug between doing it all and doing it well. Whether you’re managing AP classes, part-time jobs, or college essays, burnout doesn’t wait until graduation to show up. That’s why learning to set boundaries—and stick to them—matters so much right now.
In college, no one tells you to slow down. You’ll need to decide when enough is enough, when to say “no” to one more late night, and when to prioritize rest. Real self-care isn’t bubble baths—it’s learning how to protect your peace.
And while we’re talking balance, let’s talk money. Having freedom means having responsibility. Budgeting doesn’t limit your fun; it gives you the confidence to say yes to what really matters. Start now—track what you spend this week and see where you can make small adjustments.
Jesus modeled rest and purpose. In Mark 6:31, He told His disciples, “Come with me by yourselves to a quiet place and get some rest.” If He needed balance, so do we.
Boundaries and budgets aren’t barriers—they’re building blocks. The earlier you start, the more freedom you’ll find when college begins.
