Here’s something no one warns you about before college:
Your calendar will become your loudest spiritual influence.
Not your friends.
Not your professors.
Not even your doubts.
Your schedule.
In the podcast, we talked about spiritual habits like Bible study, prayer, and community — and how they don’t magically happen in college. That’s because freedom doesn’t just give you more options. It reveals your priorities.
College doesn’t ask, “Do you believe in God?”
It asks, “What do you make time for?”
And that’s uncomfortable… because time doesn’t lie.
Here’s the shift seniors need to make now, not later:
Faith doesn’t survive on intention alone. It survives on rhythms.
You don’t need a perfect routine — just a realistic one.
Maybe it’s:
- Five minutes with Scripture before your phone
- One church service that becomes non-negotiable
- One friend who knows when you’re struggling spiritually
Jesus modeled this Himself:
“Very early in the morning… Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed.” (Mark 1:35)
If the Son of God needed intentional time with the Father, we probably do too.
As you wrap up this semester and look toward what’s next, don’t just plan your classes or your dorm decor.
Plan your inputs.
Because what you repeatedly give your time to will quietly shape who you become.
College won’t steal your faith — but neglect might.
And the good news? You get to choose something better.
