Saying Yes Before You Feel Ready

Nobody tells you this part out loud, so here it is:
confidence usually comes after obedience, not before it.

Aubrey didn’t arrive at Alabama knowing exactly where she’d land. She didn’t feel prepared. She didn’t feel settled. She felt overwhelmed, alone, and unsure — and she still said yes.

Yes to conversations.
Yes to church, even when she had to walk in alone.
Yes to friendships she wasn’t sure would last.
Yes to trusting God with the little she could see.

And some of those yeses led nowhere. Some friendships faded. Some decisions didn’t pan out. But none of them were wasted.

Why? Because God uses movement.

Faith isn’t about waiting until you’re certain — it’s about remembering who God has already been to you and moving forward anyway. Aubrey talked about how remembering God’s faithfulness in high school gave her courage to trust Him in college, even when the road ahead was unclear.

So if you’re standing on the edge of graduation wondering if you’re ready — you’re probably not.

And that’s okay.

Put your yes on the table. God knows how to meet you there.
