By now, you’ve probably noticed how quickly senior year fills up — college applications, classes, football games, senior pictures… all stacked on top of each other. It’s exciting, but it’s also easy to go through it all on autopilot — even in your faith.
The truth is, college will test what you personally believe. Not what your parents taught you. Not what your youth pastor said last summer. Your faith has to become your own before the move-in boxes hit the car.
Start small. Try setting aside one morning a week to open your Bible — not because someone told you to, but because you want to know God’s voice for yourself. Talk with Him about what’s ahead. Ask honest questions.
Romans 12:2 says, “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” That kind of transformation starts now, in the quiet moments between the chaos of senior year.
Faith that’s rooted in personal relationship — not routine — will anchor you when college feels loud, lonely, or overwhelming. So before you start choosing dorm décor or roommates, make sure you’ve chosen to own your faith first.
